This review of my experience with these plates: 

Healthy Kids Plate teaches kids that:

• 1/2  their plate should be filled with fruits and vegetables.
• 1/4 of their plate filled with protein 
• 1/4 of their plate filled with whole grains

Specs:

• Dishwasher safe
• Lead Free

• 8inches
• Not easily broken :) Trust me, my daughter has dropped  it several times. It's a very durable plastic

This plate is sized for, and geared toward the ages 2-8. My daughter is 15months old  and I already started using the plate with her. I figure, why not start out early, I just used smaller portions in each section for her. Since obesity rate is so high and rising in children, this is a fun way to teach children to eat the healthy way. The cartoons make it easy  for a child to know where his/her Fruit and Veggies go on their plate, and  how much. This allows us as parents to focus on balance, instead of counting servings. Yay for being fun and healthy!!
